Pro Life/ Pro Choice--> The modern woman's issue

  I'm not going to take a stand a real stand here.  However, I do think this topic is interesting because in the modern era abortion is one of the most well-known and widely debated women's rights issues.   I know that this is not as simple as debate as whether to allow women equitable protections and the right to vote, and the controversy shines after several decades because of the moral implications.    It is interesting that our law currently gives the woman choice, but others laws give males parental rights to a child born into their marriage even when that child was sired by another man.   The laws have shifted much authority away from men and into the hands of women.   Historically there is no doubt that the woman would have no choice but to cede to her husband (or fathers) demands, no matter what the potential consequences to the mother might be.
