Indiana Politics

This article describes the huge debate over banning gay marriage in Indiana. The Senate made their last meeting private from public vote. Currently, gay marriage is illegal in Indiana, but they are trying to add it to the Indiana constitution. The article said that the decision was pretty much made during the private meeting. The public should have a say in the final decision because it will affect them. Because the Senate has a majority of Republicans I am assuming the ban will be put in the Indiana Constitution. Personally, I do not understand why they did not allow the meeting to be public. It is sad that a decision is being made without the public's input.
