Marriage Equality Destroying Traditional Marriage

This article  is simply an opinion piece that I found on Huffington Post about how marriage equality for LGBTQ individuals will lead to the "destruction" of traditional marriage, and why that's a GOOD thing. It's an interesting take on how rethinking gender roles will help marriage as a whole (even between heterosexuals) more equitable for both people involved. The tough questions that lesbian or gay couples will have to go through concerning whether or not to have children, who will work or stay home, and whose last name will change or stay the same, can help heterosexual couples reinvent their own roles in marriage.
It's important to note that the author of the open-letter uses the term "traditional marriage" in the sense that it is inherently the property agreement entered into by two men, not the sacred agreement a couple enters into before God. It's a different perspective on saving traditional marriage that I haven't heard before.
