Women's rights around the world

Here's an awesome interactive graphic by The Guardian that shows where women's rights stand around the world. The graphic breaks down rights by seven categories: domestic violence, constitution, harassment, property, abortion, work and other. Statistics were gathered from the World Bank and UN data. The graphic also lets you share specific stats via Twitter.

I was particularly shocked by the harassment category. For example, 86 percent of countries have laws that specifically address sexual harassment and only 65 percent of countries impose criminal sanctions for sexual harassment.
