Good Reads for Empowered Women

So, I'm one of those people that is constantly reading some type of book. I thought it would be a good idea to share a list of good reads to empower women and about empowered women. The list includes a variety of reads from "how-to" to fiction and includes all types of women including professions and heritage.

The Divergent books by Veronica Roth are currently really popular due to their recent make into a movie.a world in which people are separated into groups based upon certain human virtues.  The heroine, Tris Prior, is considered dangerous to the leaders due to her inability to "fit" into any of these groups.  I really enjoyed this read because it isn't just about a woman, but the idea that being different is a great thing.

Another one that I've read and really liked was The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are by Brene Brown.  It is about just what the title says. It's definitely more of a "how-to" book, but it provides several great revelations for both women and men.

If you're a reader like me, I encourage you to check the list out: https: //www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/women-empowerment.

  1. Ah! I love Goodreads! The Gifts of Imperfection sounds like something I need to put in my "to-read" list. Thanks for the link!
