This article is about an recently popular tale of a woman that is alleged to be the oldest female survivor of the holocaust. I had never of this documentary, but can't wait to find it now.
"The real surprise of The Lady in Number 6 might be that
Alice Herz Sommer’s story hadn’t been told before. A London concert
pianist and oldest living survivor of the Holocaust, the film easily
could have been depressing, but the optimistic Sommer’s account of her
long, extraordinary life instead is at times thrilling, incredible,
cheery and miraculous. The fact that at 109 she was still able to recall
so many historical events and was willing to share her experiences is
something to behold."
This is a very interesting story.
ReplyDeleteI had not heard anything about it until reading the article. It really is amazing that someone her age was able to recount so much. I liked reading about how they involved her family in the film as well. It can't always be an easy story to share. I look forward to seeing the film in the future.
I love my typos. I have to truly remove myself from my own work for several days before I have the detachment in perspective to make any worthy revisions.
