Realistic Barbie Doll
Have you guys seen this? Nickolay Lamm is creating a realistic barbie doll that takes after the average American woman. Her name is Lammily and she is 19. I think its pretty neat!
I actually saw this a while ago and thought it was pretty cool. I think sometimes people forget that Barbie had her own really great attributes- she essentially told little girls that they could be anything that they wanted, astronauts, lawyers, veterinarians. But I think everyone (including Barbie) got too wrapped up in the doll's appearance. It'd be nice to have a properly proportioned doll or even dolls of varying body types and sizes. This is a pretty good first step.
