Talented Female Sand Artist
The video is an audition for the TV show Ukraine Got Talent. The woman, Kseniya Simonova, uses sand to create a story that moves the audience to tears. It's in a different language, but from what I gather, the story is about the killing of thousands of Hungarian Jews around World War II. It's a very creative tribute to the victims of hateful discrimination and genocide. I think you guys will appreciate it....And yes, this talented woman ended up winning the show.

I think that is the most unique form of art I have seen in a long time. It was a wonderful way to tell a story and I could totally follow it without her speaking a word. The way she expressed the story demonstrates that you don't always have to use words to convey a message, and that finding a unique way of doing it always makes a greater impact. I loved it.
ReplyDeleteMy nephew and I were just speaking on Friday about our separate experiences at the Holocaust museum in Washington, D.C. and how it truly impacted us. I can't wait to share this with him.
I think that this was an awesome video. Thank you for sharing. I agree with Meg that it really does show unique art. I love to see how creative people can get. Not only was the art amazing, but the story behind it was really inspiring. I am glad that she won the competition!
