MSNBC is apparently introducing a Women and Politics:College Edition. These stories cover promising women at the collegiate level
who are involved in politics. This specific article covers Alexis Hunter, a
Vanderbilt student who is studying public policy. The articles gauge the
opinions of these young women, which is important to igniting more political
participation for women in general. By covering women in politics at the
college-level, these types of stories can help more women get involved in
politics and hopefully lead more young women to pursue government office, which
is important. To preview the questions
you can expect, “which female leaders do you draw inspiration from?”
I think this is interesting especially since the school's are nominating the women. They two profiles I looked at really stood out to me, because you don't see a lot of women talking about entering those fields due to them being male dominated. I'm going to save this link so I can continue seeing who they post. :)
