2014 GOP SOTU Response

I thought this video was interesting in the fact that the Congresswoman was the first GOP woman to give the official response to the SOTU in 19 years and only the second to ever do so. She stayed away from the raucous speech that the males usually use. She had such a soft tone and stayed on message.

  1. Rep. Rodgers did waaayyyyy better than Marco Rubio did last time - clearly. She was a good choice for the GOP to get their message across to a group (women) they've been alienating with their, as the Dems would say, "war on women." I've seen this video a few times and I just keep thinking she's too soft spoken - but maybe that's because I'm used to the male speeches from before?

  2. I think that Rep. Rodgers did a great job! Not only was she able to present the GOP message in a great way, she was able to relate to women across America, something the GOP has been struggling with the past few years. I look forward to what Rep. Rodgers will do in the future and see where her career will take her.
