I have been waiting to hear a decision in this case since I first heard about the infraction.
Figured being old and a nun that she would get a slap on the wrist and sent home, but no dice on leniency. She will serve 3 years, by the current sentence, and receive time on probation afterward. She said that to have gotten a life sentence would have been even better, and I see the point that she would have been made a martyr.
I think the sentence is deplorable. IF an 84 year old woman can do what she did, then people need to be aware.
