Do you prefer a male or female boss??

This website on cnn living discusses the fact that more people prefer a male boss when it comes to the working environment. Many interviews that Kelly Wallace, the editor of the page, stated that most of the time when they had women as their boss, it usually led to a lot of micromanagement as well as well as being passive aggressive in their leadership. Although I am a female, I will say that working with other females can be very "dramatic" at times. I am a waitress and I feel like this sort of applies to my working environment. I have a 3 males who are considered my "bosses". They are very easy going and are extremely care free. This can I guess be a good or bad thing. I have had a female as a boss before and I honestly do not really have a preference. I will however say that working with other females can get a little dramatic at times.

  1. I worked in retail for almost 3 years and had two male bosses and probably five female bosses. And there was a lot of petty arguments and other things that should not have happened.
After that job, I moved to working in offices. (2+ years in one and about 9 months at my new job). The first office was full of women, no male workers at all. And it was the worse experience of my life. There was so much hatred and petty games that were going on all the time. I got out of there as quickly as I could once it started to get really bad.
My new job has a pretty decent combination of males and females. It is a much better atmosphere to work in. I think that the difference between the jobs isn't so much the fact that there are guys working there, but more so that the office is just made up with better people who actually get along with one another.
