Women in Media are underrepresented. The gender equality issue continues. The highest paid women actor is paid around the same as the two lowest paid male actor. Newsroom reporting and representation hasn't changed over the last twenty years. There is still only about thirty percent of women in the newsroom. Along with that there are only a select few women who do sports reporting. In news articles women are only quoted about nineteen percent. In 2012 women had fewer speaking roles in movies than men. Women are slowly inching the way to equality.
