MSNBC's War on Conservative Women

I posted a link to MSNBC’s website involving an article called “Women to Watch in 2014.”  When I was reading the list I failed to pay attention regarding party ideologies.  Thirty-two out of thirty-six women were Democrats.

I don’t really know that I really feel one way or another about it, but I found this article providing a contrasting view and some additional subjects. I thought it was interesting and would share.

Whether or not MSNBC is carrying out a war on conservative women or not, I think its significant to consider that possibly women do not only have to fight in the struggle of how gender is affected by politics, but they have to contend with all the typical political struggles as well including party ideology.

  1. I looked at the list and have seen the coverage that MSNBC devotes to conservative women, and I have to say that in my opinion, they do have a bias in their coverage. It's sad that those in the news media not only cover women in a different light than men, but it is very disappointing that they also treat conservative women as pariahs.

  2. I think that every news source has a political bias. They go based on their viewers. For instance, Fox news would have a "War on Liberal Women". They way they treated Nancy Pelosi when they talked about her, especially when she was Speaker, was disgusting, but it all depends on who you ask and who you are.
