Women and their Body-Image

Yay. It's another "body-image" topic. It just so happens that this stuff is plastered all over the internet so it's super easy to find and I actually found this one interesting...Glamour has conducted a survey that questioned 300 different types of women about their thoughts on their own body. The study showed that on average, women have up to 13 negative thoughts about their own body daily (!!!).  The article then goes into reasons this might be. Most importantly, it gives ways to break this cycle of being your own worst critic and to take action against discouraging thoughts. They call it "silencing your inner mean girl".

  1. This is so true. With the media constantly criticizing the way that women look it is no wonder that there is so many negative body images! I wish that the media could just accept girls for what they look like. I mean all of the fast food and portion sizes do not help to make girls have a positive body image. It is sad but I fear that this problem will only get worse with years to come.
