A Glimpse of Change?

I am not much of a Jimmy Fallon fan, but I ran across this article and I found it interesting. Whenever people start discussing the unfair, sexist jokes pointed towards female politicians, it usually doesn't take long for Hillary Clinton's name to be brought up. As we've seen in at least one video in class, Hillary Clinton has been mocked and ridiculed by many different types of people, from reporters and news anchors, to random people standing at political rallies. The other night, Jimmy Fallon made a joke about Hillary Clinton's wardrobe that the audience didn't find particularly funny. Possibly because it was sexist, or possibly because the "humor" has been overplayed. Either way, the audience's reaction made me feel a little satisfied. Is it possible that general society is finally realizing that sexism, even in a joking context, isn't acceptable? The video and longer explanation is in the link. Enjoy!

  1. I just absolutely love when people realize this behavior is unacceptable! And I feel that is is true no matter what party the woman is from
