Another Victory for Women

Vice Adm. Jan E. Tighe has made history by becoming the first woman to command a numbered U.S. Navy Fleet.  According to the Navy, she is the first female commander of a numbered fleet in U.S. naval history.  I think that it is great that a women is making headlines for something other than leaving rehab or getting into a fight with another female celebrity.  By celebrating the accomplishments of Tighe, people are showing that it is more than possible for women to accomplish the same tasks as men.  Maybe instead of wanting to become another celebrity, more young girls will aspire to be more like Tighe and make history.  You can find the whole article here.
