Greenwich Village today.....

Somehow I skipped over one of the last slides, which should have mentioned about the modern scene overview of the Village.  Lots of celebrities and wealthier folks.  Lots of cafes, salons....but mostly white.
This article talks about some of the cultural value of someone less jaded than me, and with far more personal knowledge.  Ive never been to NYC.
There are still tons of cafes, studios, galleries, but also hair salons and Prada shops, boutiques (idk what to Kohl's for millionaires..lol).
But nonetheless I believe that the Village is not the epicenter for big changes today, and I may be wrong.  Only time will tell, but it is certain that the first wave of feminism was a stomping ground for notable female activists, and this cultural progression inspired racial tolerance.
