The Colorado transgender case
Here is a second the case involving a transgender students restroom privileges (the first mentioned on another post was from Maine). In this case a young male had identified as a female throughout child. During her first-grade school year her family had her withdrawn to instead be home home-schooled, due to her treatment by the school. Similar to the case hailing out of Maine, this student was forced to use a staff restroom which secluded her from the rest of the body. The Colorado and Maine courts each ruled that the schools 'simplistic' approach cannot be tolerated. I believe that a person, a child nonetheless, should be able to be recognized as the gender by which they psychologically identify. I also recognizing the challenging moral and social issues that raise controversy to this issue. I think it is clearly inappropriate to segregate transgender students, but I can see where the opposing view might discourage such situations due to the sexual premise.
