Friends of Cancer Patient
Kamryn Renfro is probably one of the sweetest 9 year old little girls. She shaved her head because one of her friends that was going through chemo had lost all of her hair. Kamryn wanted to be supportive so she made the decision by herself to show Delaney that she was not alone in her fight to beat cancer. Kamryn was so excited to go to school and show all of her friends what she had done until her school said she was not to attend school. Caprock Academy said that by shaving her head it had violated the dress code and she needed to wait until it grew back to go back to school. Kamryn's mom made this issue a social media hit! Before long Kamryn was allowed back in school. I do not understand why the school would punish Kamryn for such a selfless move. What do you think?

I saw this story when it came out, and I was disgusted by the school's response. Instead of punishing the young girl for her selfless act, the school should have applauded her act of kindness. I was really pleased to happy to hear that Kamryn was allowed to return to school after the public's response to the school's decision. Maybe this is how we can change our society a little; to call out injustices where they happen and demand that the right thing be done.
